🍀 PRODUCTIVITY RULE - ISSUE 163
Hi, I am JOE and I write on "Mindful Productivity & Cerebral Happiness". My endeavour is to share life lessons, some thoughts, quotes & links to articles/podcasts/books, I discover during the week.
Hey Friends,
There are time when we are driven, determined and then there are also times, when we just feel stagnant. Not doing all those things which we probably should be doing . Don’t you find strange that we find ourselves in a lazy loop every once in a while.
We are strivers. We actively work towards creating a better tomorrow and because of that, we have a lot on our plate.
So accidentally wasting an hour through sheer laziness when our schedule demand clock-like precision will only add headache and frustration for everyone involved.
Did you ever ponder on a fact that we are rarely lazy during the week.?.
It’s not procrastination that I’m talking about, it’s laziness. It’s being idle for no reason. Not resting, It's a state of nothingness.
But for some reason, on certain days, I find myself lazing around. Am I tired? Burned out? Need a break? Maybe both. But I have realised that more often than not,..it's law of physics which is operating on me.
Simply speaking "A body at rest will stay at rest. A body in motion will stay in motion".
So my new mantra of productivity is that "I often try to change my state whenever I feel lazy". I intentionally start turning the wheel of momentum and that could be: -
Doing a simple task to start with.
Prepare a Weekend list in advance and bunch keep small-small task.
The completion of small -small tasks keep you motivated through out the day and gives you a distinct sense of accomplishment. ( on the other side these tasks allow you to focus on main agenda during the work week).
May be reading an uplifting quote which can shake up my Mental Inertia.
May be watching an inspiring video( which are in my save list ) and then getting onto my tasks in hand.
I suggest to you to experiment with few different ways to get yourself into a state of motion. The tiniest of tasks, the simplest of actions will start the wheel and get you off the sofa.
Take good care & enjoy reading this week's dose of ‘Mindful Productivity & Cerebral Happiness’.
Very True Realisation, generally not realised.....
