Dear friends, recently, I did a binge reading on Richard Feynman’s work and I do acknowledge that his work is absolutely admirable. I would recommend that you should explore it as well.
A secret to master any complex subject or ideas is to 'learn it in such a manner so that you can explain it to a child'. As per Feynman, this philosophy primarily forms the bedrock of mastering the art of learning anything.
The starting point is to identify a concept you want to understand. It could be anything from the theory of relativity to as complex as 'the mechanics of a combustion engine'. Once you've chosen your topic, study it in depth. Immerse yourself in the subject matter, using textbooks, online resources, or lectures.
The second step is where the magic truly begins. It's time to articulate what you've learned but with a little twist.
In third step, as you attempt to simplify the concept, you'll inevitably encounter gaps in your understanding or in certain areas where the knowledge isn't as coherent or solid as you would have expected.
If at anytime you notice that gaps in your understanding are emerging, then return to your source material. Dive back into the textbooks, lectures, or articles until you're able to patch those knowledge gaps. Then, try teaching the concept again to an imaginary child once again.
Finally, when you get the topic fully in your grasp, ask yourself - Can you simplify your explanation even more? Can you draw parallels with something familiar or introduce an analogy that makes the concept more relatable?
Overall there are five steps are involved in this process :-
Step 3: Identify Gaps and Go Back to 'The Source Material'
Step 4: Simplify and Use Analogies
Step 5: Review or Teach Someone Else
The Feynman Technique is as much about identifying what you don't know as it is about consolidating what you do know. If you find it fascinating too, then you can READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE.
Take good care & enjoy reading your dose of cerebral happiness.

As French President Emmanuel Macron travelled back from Beijing in April 2023, he sparked an uproar. Speaking to reporters, Macron stated that European and U.S. interests were diverging, particularly in their approaches toward Asia. “The worst thing for Europe,” he said, “would be just when we have finally managed to clarify our strategic position, we end up pulled into a world of crises that are not our own.” …..READ HERE
