Hi, I am JOE and I write on "Mindful Productivity & Cerebral Happiness". My endeavour is to share life lessons, some thoughts, quotes & links to articles/podcasts/books, I discover during the week.

This week was a roller coaster ride for me on many accounts where I had to juggle through many possibilities and make certain conscious decisions moving forwards. Among all this chaos and hussle-bussle, numerous thoughts were fleeting through my mind. And the most prominent were about success, happiness, life and everything else intertwined around them.
Today, coincidently the place where I am writing this retazo is where lot had happened. In this very place, I have learned some of the most valuable lessons of my life. Few things which got crystallised over a period of time and gave me an immense advantage in moving forward in life and I have thought of sharing them right here -
Firstly , Its extremely important to judge your future self and while doing so you should be genuinely honest in finding out your scalable strengths and avoidable weaknesses.
Secondly, you should also identify certain set of people, whom you can approach for a meaningful advices on issues/matters of varying complexities which you are either dealing with or likely to deal with them.
Thirdly, having the conversation early; having the collaboration rather the conflict early; addressing problems early - in your business or work place, in your life, in your relationship, saves you so much on the backend you can never imagine or predict.
Fourthly, it’s important to learn your blind spots and if be thoughtful enough in your actions then you will have an ability to alleviate people around you for their good.
Fifthly, sometimes you have to get outside of your own vision and stay open to receive feedbacks from your ecosystem. This would certainly increase your potentiality to make things happen.
And not finally, people have no problem in taking hard feedbacks provided they know that it’s coming from a place which is meant to make them better. But if it’s not coming from a place of deep care or compassion and instead is coming from a place of punishing or shaming or humiliating or dominating them, then in my view it is certainly not an effective way to do things and more often will be a counter-productive to the overall goal.
For me getting back to a place where many things began is a very humbling experience. And during the week, I have realised that so many things I could have done in my first inning itself.
Talking about innings, I have learned that second innings have it’s own advantages. They invariably gives you opportunities to do all those things which you missed out in your first inning. This is how precisely, we learn to appreciate those little things which matters in scheme of things called - Life. You are more likely to value the opportunity this time around then the one you missed or think that things did not work out in your favour as envisioned.
Life always give more than one opportunity either on the same or almost similar things. If you are prudent enough to see and grab them in time, then most likely you are going to have it all in the end.
I do agree that as such life is not fair to everyone and success has countless definations of its own. But if you see it more closely, life is never meant to be fair and all of us carry our own unique unfair advantage with us. Success and life are probably designed around certain mandatorily ups and downs.
On this note, I am willing to take it all and live it fully this time around with no third time in mind.
Take good care & enjoy reading this week's dose of ‘Mindful Productivity & Cerebral Happiness’.
Joe
